WELCOME TO KYLMÄLUOMA CAMPING

The Kylmäluoma Camping Center is located 50 km south of Kuusamo, along highway 5. It is an all-round wilderness holiday center for families and groups, for there is ample room for big parties and tasty meals available at the restaurant.

Accommodation and other facilities
In Kylmäluoma there are 21 well-equipped cabins, a beach, a lakeshore sauna, a tennis court, a miniature golf, a fully-licenced restaurant for 70 people, and several children’s playgrounds.

Caravan area
There are also 32 electricity outlets for caravans as well as an outdoor summer kitchen and a maintenance building with a hot sauna every evening from 6 to 10 p.m.

Activities
You have a chance to go fishing, hiking, skiing or snowmobiling here - to do almost anything!

The area is a starting point for a 54 kmhiking trail network. You can choose e.g. Kattaisenpolku, which is 16 km long, or Päätalopolku, which leads to Taivalkoski. There is also a connecting trail from Kylmäluoma to the Hossa Hiking Area.

Fishing
Lake Iso-Pajuluoma near our cabins is stocked with good-sized trout, rainbow trout, and arctic char all year round. The biggest fish caught in summer 2005 weighed 9,555 kg.

Another nearby lake, Lake Katkeimanlampi, is reserved for fly-fishing only. The catch includes grayling, whitefish, and arctic char.

For fishing in Lake Sarvijärvi you will need the normal fishing licences. Licences for fishing with nets are also for sale. The catch includes mostly whitefish and vendace.
